The Challenge
The City of Danville (Danville, IL), issued an RFP as a result of a COVID-19 recovery grant received from the Illinois Department of Commerce (DCEO). Intrigued by visitation insights available from Placer, the city chose the Studio GWA/RR consultant team. What insights could RR glean for the city to leverage existing momentum?
The Outcome
Using Placer data on visit trends, demographics, and void analysis, RR showed strong post-COVID recovery in the downtown area and identified potential tenants for nine sites key to revitalizing the area. The City of Danville approved the plan and is currently scoping implementation.
