(Los Altos, CA, June, 25th 2020) Placer.ai, the leader in location analytics and foot traffic data, released its new community hub, The Square, today. The company already offers a free version of its online dashboard but is aiming to provide greater data access to the masses. The Square is available through Placer.ai’s website and gives immediate insights into the offline retail economy and its recovery from the pandemic.

“The uncertainty throughout the pandemic has only shown how vital access to accurate data is as a resource to empower better decision making for any business. We saw the huge effect that our Covid-19 Retail Impact Tracker had and decided to offer even more free functionality in our new community hub,” said Co-Founder and CEO, Noam Ben Zvi. “The Square is another opportunity for us to demonstrate the unique power location data has to drive better, smarter business decisions. This is something that is all the more crucial considering the wider economic uncertainty we’re all navigating.” 

The community hub consists of two new elements complementing Placer.ai’s free location analytics platform: 

  • Industry Trends 
    • Analyze changes in traffic by category including Apparel, Dining, Mass Merchandise, Grocery, and more 
    • Cross-reference each industry by state and date to understand each sector’s return to normalcy 
  • Updated Retail Impact Tracker
    • Analyze over 150 chains year-over-year comparing weekly and daily data 
    • Break down each chain by state or nationwide
